R&M Trucking Donates Van
Versailles,
Ky, 2008 – In 2002, Ron and Mindy Fiala,
owners of R&M Trucking located on 216 Crossfield
Drive in Versailles, purchased and customized a
special van for Mindy to use to safely transport
Woodford Humane Society’s adoptable pets to various
events throughout central Kentucky. The van is
equipped with kennels, cat carriers, folding tables
and event supplies. Long time Woodford volunteer
Mindy, leads a team of specialized volunteer offsite
adoption councilors who are responsible for 10% of
Woodford Humane’s pet adoptions each year.
When
the Fiala’s got word the Humane Society’s regular
van was no longer up to par, the couple generously
donated their vehicle to the Woodford Humane Society,
a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization without any
government funding. “I knew there would come a day
when I would turn it over,” says Fiala. “I’m so
happy to help this organization continue their amazing
work and help find animals homes.” Mindy and the
volunteer team will continue to use the vehicle for
offsite events. The van will also aid the organization
by transporting adoptable pets throughout Kentucky.
